It is not known where Albert was born.
He married Annie McLean (born at Waipawa in 1880) at Waipawa in 1909.
They had two sons, neither of whom we have been able to trace.
Albert was a commercial traveller most of his working life. However he tried being a draper around 1911 and he was a mercer in Oxford St Levin from 1912 to 1915 before selling up and moving to Wellington.
