Cyril was born in Queensland.
He married Jean Lash (born at New Plymouth in 1913) at New Plymouth in 1934.
They had three sons & one daughter. One son died at the age of 23 in Oxford St, Levin.
Cyril was a factory manager in Eltham from around 1935. He then moved to Lower Hutt as a freezing works manager around 1949. He then moved to Levin as a factory manager around 1957. His widow remained in Levin along with at least two of the adult children.
