Edwin was born at Dunedin.
He married Kate Harris (born at Greytown in 1872) at Wellington in 1903.
They had one son & one daughter. The daughters husband, Melville King, served in WW1.
Edwin was a driver then a labourer. At one stage he was in Levin as Kate is recorded on the 1905 census for the Levin township petition.
Edwin enlisted for WW1, was wounded in Sep 1916 & then killed in action at the Somee in Oct 1916.
Kate remained a widow.
