Ezra was born at Farrington, Berkshire, England.
He married Priscilla Fitch (born at Edinburgh, Scotland in 1868) at Dunedin in 1885.
Priscilla emigrated to NZ with her sister and brother-in-law in 1878 (aged 10). It is not known what happened to her parents.
Ezra & Priscilla had two children born in Melbourne Australia. They came back to NZ and had three more. The youngest died in infancy.
The eldest daughter, Elizabeth, went into nursing, including a stint as a Sister at Amara private Hospital in Levin. her sister Lilian was also a nurse, and at one stage was also working in Levin.
Ezra was a plasterer by trade. His son & son-in-law were also plasterers.
