Frederick NEABER
Frederick was born in Sweden under the name of Gustaf Fredrik Nyberg.
He married Ada Clayton (born at Tasmania in 1858) at Waimate in 1879.
They had 3 daughters & 4 sons. The youngest died in infancy and Ada died a few days later.
One son, Ernest died early whilst in the English navy. Another, Oscar, was a merchant officer who was killed when his boat was sunk by torpedo during WW2.
The youngest daughter, Gertrude got into trouble a few times. What happened to her is unknown after he last scrape with the law in her early 20's.
Frederick was a labourer or gardener in Wellington, Tinui, Masterton & finally in Wellington.
At some time the family lived in Levin as two of the children went to school in Levin in 1890 and the last three children were all born at Otaki.
