Henry was born at Oamaru.
He married Miriam Worsfold (bor in 1919) in 1942.
They had three daughters & one son.
Henry started working life as a clerk in Wellington. By 1946 he had moved to Levin where he became a farmer. He then became a bookseller around 1957 until becoming a company director around 1969. The family lived in Tiro Tiro Rd from the time they first moved to Levin.
Three of the children became teachers.
Both Henry & Miriam & Miriam's mother are buried in Levin.
