Henry LETT

Henry was born at Wellington.

He married Annie Hansen (born at Upper Hutt in 1877) in 1900.

They had four sons & three daughters. One son died in infancy and another at 9 years of age. One son-in-law, Leonard Stokes, served in WW1.

The youngest was born in 1922, 11 years after the previous child. At this point Henry had an arrest warrant out for 'failing to maintain his wife'. It also pointed out his fondness for drink.

Henry ended up in Tasmania where he had another daughter in 1924, finally dying in NSW, Australia.

Henry had a variety of trades whilst in NZ. The family was in Levin from at least 1905 to 1908 where he was a carpenter. They were also on the unofficial census for the 1905 Levin township petition.
