Keith Gray WYNESS
Keith was born at Wellington.
He married Margaret Webb (born at Wellington in 1916) in 1941.
They had 5 daughters & one son of which four were born in Levin.
Keith served in WW2 in both Fiji, New Caledonia & the Solomons. He was a sergeant in the supply office & a 2nd Lieutenant in the 16th Motor Transport Co,
Before the war he had worked for HMV in Wellington.
After the war he moved the family to Levin where he became a poultry farmer. Around 1957 he became the shop manager for a music store in Oxford St East. A photo of the store appears in the Chronicle's, 75th Jubilee of Levin publication.
he was also a Borough Councillor from 1952 to 1956, which at the time was quite interesting in terms of debate & argument amongst the Council & the Mayor of the time, particularly relating to the new sewerage scheme.
He was also described as a rigid Sabbatarian.
Around 1966 he moved to Auckland where he was a Director & Company Manager.
