Timothy was born in County Kerry, Ireland.
He came to New Zeald in 1884.
He married Bridget Courtney (also born in County Kerry, in 1867) at Wellington in 1886.
They had 4 sons & 4 daughters. One daughter died in her teens.
Timothy started as a police constable in Wellington before moving to Otaki. He traveled as far as Foxton in fulfilling his duties.
He later became the Clerk for the SM Court at Otaki. He was also Mayor of Otaki.
Both he and Bridget owned many properties in Levin.
Two sons (Simon & Courtney) and two son-in-laws (Philip Harper & Norman Chamberlain) served in WW1.
Harper also served in the Boer War. He also had two brothers (including an All Black) killed in WW1. See his profile.
